TMS Golf

Tolt Golf begins with an informational meeting in April (3 to 4pm).    Parents and students are welcome to attend the meeting.

Again this year:  all members of Tolt Golf must have a current ASB card with the sticker.  Students needing one should contact the school office.

When does the Tolt Golf meet?   Tuesdays and Thursdays (3pm to 5:30pm)

Where:   Carnation Golf Course will be our home course,  with opportunities to play on other area  courses with other middle schools.

Cost:   nine holes will be $5.00, and driving range will be $5.00. 

What to bring:   tennis shoes or golf shoes — no sandals!

  rain jacket and hat.  Umbrellas okay!

  golf balls and tees

  money for green fees  (kids who don’t pay, don’t play — no loans)

  golf clubs if you got ‘em  (store them in any of the coaches' rooms)

 Transportation:   students must arrange their own transportation to and from golf courses.

 Who can join?    boys and girls, grades 6, 7, and 8.  Beginners welcome.

 How long is the season?  The season begins in early April and runs through the middle of June.

 Instructors from Carnation Golf Course and Tolt Middle School will supervise players during the following golf activities:   driving, fairway play, chipping, and putting.

 Tolt Middle School has a limited number of golf clubs available for players to use.  Contact Coach Roper for more information.

 Weather permitting, experienced players will play at least one round of nine holes each week and sometimes work at skill-development at the driving range.  Attention will be paid to golf etiquette throughout the season.
