Building Big--"Explore large structures and find out what it takes to build them with BUILDING BIG™, a five-part PBS television series and Web site from WGBH Boston. Watch How Things Are Made--"Warning: This Web site is addictive! Stanford University's Alliance for Innovative Manufacturing has created a fun site detailing how various everyday objects are manufactured. The site is essentially a collection of Flash Player-enabled movies that take you step-by-step through the creation of objects as diverse as motorcycles, glass bottles, and jelly beans.  This site also features several sections identifying the basic processes used in most manufacturing, like die casting, injection molding, and laser cutting. There are also interactive areas where you can provide your own observations and make suggestions on how to solve basic problems in manufacturing."
