Africa Maps--One of the better sites for obtaining maps for your reports.  The types of maps include political, shaded relief, general, navigational (water), city, condensed and detailed.  The number and variety of maps for each country varies according to how well known the region is, if it is a news hot spot, and its general historical background.     Africa Maps--A great site to get printable maps of Africa and individual countries.  Maps can be viewed in outline form or in detail.  Use the second drop down menu to get a map of an individual country.

African Wildlife Foundation--Dedicated to wildlife and wild lands of Africa.  Offers links to a variety of topics in a neat and orderly fashion.  The major topics covered are the regions of Africa, its animals, and the latest headline news concerning the African environment (volcanoes, disaster, fires, etc.).  A "View Wildlife" pull down menu takes you to medium-length profiles of 49 African mammals, from the aardvark to the zebra.
